I may bring one of the prayers I find comfort in, although I don't plan on speaking. Everything I have to say, I've already been telling him anyway. Nothing concrete yet, but last word was this Thursday at the park his parents used to take him to most often.

As a pagan earth lover sort of person myself, I have become rather zen about my past. You know, I would not be the gramma I am today if not for everything that happened before, eh?
Just wanted you to know that I'll be posting a telling of my meeting with this man when I turned 18, which was the same age as he was when we had our summer. (I was 11). He was a tortured soul.

Death is most often a painful parting, but it is a part of Life... if Zak taught me anything it is that Love is eternal, and like Life, so very worthwhile.

thank you again, dear friend. it's a beautiful day today and the winds' caress quite gentle. I've managed to laugh at least once each day, and try very hard to focus on the good memories rather than wondering about the physicality of now. I hesitated for a moment before sharing this online, for obvious reasons, but ultimately I knew that there were many compassionate souls waiting to offer their support and that this support is very necessary right now. my love for zak is so great that I cannot imagine not sharing this. I want to tell everyone who looks at me, strangers driving by, about him. how wonderful he was and how very much we miss him now that he is gone. such beauty should not pass unnoticed. i will carry this pain til the day i die, but i will carry all the joy and love too. it's a welcome and comforting weight, not a burden.
